I got my controller showing up on my screen in OBS, and it even work fine on the home screen and in the browser, but whenever I load a game, the overlay stops working completely as if it's just a picture of a white xbox controller

OBS recently made a change where they updated the chrome version the browser source uses. If you're on windows you can try running OBS as admin. If that doesn't work, you can also try downgrading to the previous version.

Christopher Rodriguez ok, but I don't use chrome, so it shouldn't have changed unless it changed in microsoft edge as well

Jason The "chome" I mentioned is the built-in one that OBS uses. OBS doesn't use the browser isntalled on your computer, it has its own special browser that's a part of OBS.
